The setting of The Killer is Paris, France. Our hitwoman Zee is first shown to us going about her everyday activities. She then travels to a deconsecrated chapel to see her boss, Finn, and get her next mission on Afdah info. In the meantime, Sey and Jax, two French police officers, identify a suspect in a high-value case of stolen heroin. The suspect, who goes as Coco on the streets, is not very helpful. Coco tries to flee in her car, but Sey's cunning shooting stops her there. Coco tries to flee on foot after his getaway car flips, but when that doesn't work out, he kidnaps a young girl. then Coco finds herself floating in the Seine after being shot in the head.
Zee is prepared to enter a well-known nightclub's private lounge and eliminate her next worthy targets; according to Finn, everyone inside must leave. We get to watch Zee in action, and she shows that she can be highly skilled with a samurai sword or, if necessary, shoot you in the ass. She might not be the best at following directions, though. Zee extends compassion to the American vocalist Jenn, who is entertaining at a private gathering. Despite losing her sight due to a blow to the head during the turmoil, Jenn is at least still living! Zee and Finn get into a fight because Zee doesn't do the task as directed. Zee tries to complete the task she began.
In addition, Sey went to Jenn's hospital room to stop Zee from killing Jenn. This starts a new iteration of the classic Zee and Sey debate about "will they or won't they?" In this instance, the question is not if they will fall in love or not. Will they or won't they turn into friends or foes? Zee's connection with Finn is unraveling when he fails to kill Jenn twice; he goes from being Jenn's would-be executioner to her protector. The Killer, but I WAS anticipating some amazing action with John Woo in charge. The film certainly have action, but the best part is when it ends in a deconsecrated church and the nearby graveyard.
